Spy Pen DVR
A spy pen is a discreet hidden camera designed for secret recordings. While most of us are aware of the possibilities these pens open up, the main key feature that makes these pens so flexible and versatile is often overlooked and so as a result, many of us fail to take advantages of what is has to offer. I am of course talking about spy pen DVR or Digital Video Recording as its better known. DVR is the key item in a spy pen that allows it to operate so independently of any other device.
A digital video recorder will be located inside of your spy pen, for all intensive purposes it records just like another other recording method would, but it offers much more flexibility in access and transfer of the footage.
Format
Spy Pen Digital Video Recorders normally record in one of two formats, other formats are available but generally not as widely seen. The two main formats are .3gp and .avi. Both these types of format are widely supports by most variations of pc’s including Apples Mac, and the majority of DVR players are digital devices such as cell phones.
Many people are choosing the option to view footage stream live from devices like wireless cameras and spy pens. DVR is the only format of recording that enables them to do live. Live streaming of the footage can be set up as long as a transmission source is set up from the recording device to the DVR and the DV is connected to the internet. It can then be viewed from any device with access to the Internet.
Enhancement & Editing
DVR is great as it allows you the option to edit or enhance the footage. Loads of free software is available on the internet for manipulate this format of clip or track allowing you to enhance any poor recording that took place.
Best Selling
The best selling spy pen is without a doubt the 4gb spy pen DVR recorder. 4gb’s worth of DVR memory is sufficient to record between 4-5 hours of film. For such a mini device this is quite brilliant. Most DVR players will allow you to stop and start the filming recording as multiple short clips or one giant one.
Disadvantages
Whilst the DVR conveys many advantages is still suffers from factors we have yet to improve. The average battery life of a spy pen is 3-4 hours at best, this severely cripples the recording capabilities and leaves us with much spare room.
Apart from this slight inconvenience there really is no disadvantage to DVR, ensure your next spy pen has it!
